I got a few roofing companies to quote and come to my house in November when I noticed a leaking issue. Out of the 4 that came, Lake Orion Roofing and Brian was very straightforward, educational, honest with me, and had the best pricing. They matched my shingles to my detached garage like I asked, which has a newer roof. They had everything cleaned up and finished with in a week. Great company and highly recommend them for your project.

With the recent high winds blowing the shingles off of our roof, I contacted lake Orion roofing company who had originally installed the roof about 10 years ago. The roof wasn’t under warranty and they still came out and repaired the shingles and stood by their work. They came out promptly and were very professional, thank you to Brian Schwartz and Lake Orion roofing for the great job!!! During the recent wind-storm, I lost a single shingle. I contacted Mark at Lake Orion Roofing and explained the issue (it was a very minor repair issue, especially for a roofing company). However, Mark had Brian come out the following morning and discovered where the missing shingle was torn off at, (the peak), and replaced it with a new shingle.I am so impressed with LO roofing's immediate response to my service request, given how small of a repair it turned out to be. It is wonderful to have a local business be so responsive and customer focused! Thank you Mark and Brian.

Lake Orion Roofing just finished my roof in Shelby Twp and I am very pleased. I contacted several companies for quotes and their presentation was very professional and competitive. They informed me in advance when they would deliver the shingles and dumpster for my tear off. The workers were polite, arrived on time, and finished my roof in one day, including replacing some boards. Everything was cleaned up and nothing was damaged. I have no reservations in recommending!

Our roof was damaged in the hail storm during July 20th 2023, after searching and talking with several companies, I was referred to Lake Orion Roofing.From the first time I reached out, I have had nothing but good things to say. Our contractor, Mark, was amazing and even took the time to help us deal with the insurance company to get what was owed for our damaged house.Once the insurance had been thoroughly reality checked by my fiancé and Mark, the work on the roof was completed very quickly.A few days ahead of time some materials and a dumpster were dropped off in preparation, and the actual work on the roof was done in the time it took me to go to and come home from work.The gutters were a different team but was completed separately in one day by them. When we had some minor issues with the gutters, Brian came out to do his final inspection and take care of those minor issues.Every person we interacted with was amazingly friendly and kind, I could not recommend them highly enough.

Lake Orion Roofing recently did a complete replacement on our roof.To start the process, Brian came out and showed us the problems we had going on and explained our options. He was very understanding when I said we were going to try to repair the roof. After further assessing my options, I decided to do the full replacement and ended up choosing Lake Orion Roofing after sitting down with Mark and hearing about their process and comparing with other companies in the area. The job was completed within 2 weeks of signing and at a very high level for a reasonable and transparent cost. We’ve had 6 inches of snow, and lots of rain and I’ve been in the attic and have not seen any leaks.Overall, I’ve been very impressed and I know that if any issues come up in the future they will take care of them. They’re a good, honest company. I’m glad I gave them my business.

The crew came out and completed the work in a day. Cleaned up the area, protected the deck and railings from damage,roof looks great. Also, the dumpster was removed from the driveway when hours of the work being completed.

I found a water spot on my ceiling on a Friday, and called Lake Orion Roofing right away. Christina took my information over the phone, and sent me instructions regarding how to send pictures of the damage to their staff. Over the weekend Mark, the owner, came to my house to see if he could find where the leak was coming from. After going up on the roof, Mark showed me pictures of 3 different areas that were likely allowing water in through the roof and then also showed me pictures of what he did to fix the problems. He gave me very helpful information regarding continued care for my roof, and how much longer he felt my roof could last before needing to be replaced. Mark saved me a ton of money, and unimaginable potential damage. I highly recommend this company for your roofing needs. They were experienced and knowledgeable.

I have had Lake Orion Roofing install roofs on my house and my parents house. Mark, the owner, was very good about answering my many questions and addressing concerns that I had. His quotes were very thorough and detailed. HIs crew did a good job and Mark reviewed the job with me afterwards and had many pictures detailing the installation. Mark seems to be an "old school" kind of contractor who really wants the customer to be satisfied with a job well done.

We had our roof replaced this summer by Lake Orion Roofing. Mark was out within a few days after I called for a roof inspection and quote (not an insurance claim - we paid out of pocket). He provided us with a lot of information so that we were confident in our choices. The office staff were very pleasant and helpful with scheduling and answering questions before the job began. Lake Orion Roofing just completed a roof replacement on our home. We are very happy with the completed job. Mark visited us during the bid process and he was clearly the most knowledgeable contractor. He gave us clear and understandable expectations when we reviewed the different details of our complex roof. After we signed the contract we ask them to add some gutter guards and they were expertly installed for a fair price. His installers worked in a safe manner and did professional quality work. If you need a new roof or need repairs of any kind, Lake Orion Roofing is the place to go. 1 stop shopping. They do it all and they do it right. The roofing crew was top notch and did an incredible job with the challenges/repairs our roof presented. Impressive work. Mark helped us choose a shingle, took the time to explain the many decisions we would have to make and was incredibly thorough. Best pricing against all the other quotes we collected (and they didn't present us with half the information that Mark did). Highly recommend this company!! (P.S. - When Mark advises you to drive around and look at your choices of shingles on actual housing jobs they've done in the area, do it. It was very eye opening and made a big difference. You can't always just pick a shingle from the samples.)

I purchased my first house in January of 2023, and my inspector made one thing very clear to me about the house: I needed to teardown and install a new roof. After shopping around and getting 4 separate quotes, I decided to go with Lake Orion Roofing, not because they were the cheapest quote, but because of the professionalism & reliability of reputation and their direct dealings with me. Mark Southern walked me through the quote, answering all my questions, but took care to educate me about the process and the roof in general. After signing the work order, everything was delivered within the week, and soon afterwards the work on the roof began. The roofers had to contend with what in some parts was nonexistent original wood during the teardown, and 5-8 inches of wet & heavy snow; but throughout the teardown & installation of the new roof they were communicative & professional. Simply put, they got the job done and done well. After the roof was complete, the guys involved in my gutter installation arrived 2 days later, and got the job done correctly within 3 hours with no fuss. Even after the job's completion, Mark still took time to go through the before & after photos to give me the information & tips I'll need to make sure the roof lasts.I was very happy with Lake Orion Roofing, and would recommend their services to friends & family.

Mark Southern, the owner of Lake Orion Roofing, is amongst the rare few contractors left that are trustworthy and cares about his customers, both current and previous. Due to the excellent experience that I had with him and his team when they redid my roof, I have kept his phone number handy. Naturally, when I had some maintenance work that needed to be done to my gutters (not installed by LOR), I called him to ask if this was something his company did. Unfortunately, it was not, so off I went searching for qualified contractors to perform the work.After a few weeks, Mark checked in with me to ensure I had gotten the work taken care of. Needless to say, the other contractor did not perform the work correctly and, after taking my money, was unwilling to make any adjustments and became non-responsive. I let Mark know what happened, showed him the pictures and the correspondence between myself and the other contractor, and he said he would help me out! …And he did; a week later, he stopped by my house to make the few modifications I had requested from the other contractor.I cannot express how grateful I am for him looking out for me as his prior customer. This was not his responsibility, yet he didn’t want his customer to be taken advantage of. This is just one example of the kindness Mark has shown since I have known him. I am so happy to have found Lake Orion Roofing and a team I can trust and rely on. I wholeheartedly recommend Mark and LOR if you are looking for a great company that will strive to treat you right!

If you are looking for a company with experience and a no nonsense evaluation/quote, I highly recommend contacting Mark Southern and his team. They put a new roof on our home 20-years ago and we have not had a single issue. Reached out to Mark last week to have him inspect our roof to get an evaluation of its condition and whether anything preventative needed to be done. Mark came out Saturday and said everything looked fine. He is not out to sell anything if it is not needed. Truly an ethical guy and it shows in the business.

Lake Orion did the existing roof several years ago and it is in great shape, but straight line winds of 74 mph from a storm in September loosened some shingles. Lake Orion Roofing did a great job replacing our roof. Mark the owner and his staff are friendly and easy to work with. The process was very easy with no pressure, excellent details of the process and many addresses for reference to check out examples of their work.All steps were performed when Mark said they would be. The tearoff and installation was done by his crew in less than a day with zero debris or nails left behind.They installed the same materials in the same manner with the same warranty as another well known roofer wanted to charge more than $2000 additional for!I highly recommend them.

We had our roof shingles replaced but more importantly a roof repair on a valley that caused water leakage into our porch. This repair was our most important priority and Mark (LOR owner) met me twice to discuss how he would repair. I discussed with Mark at his office and then he personally came to my home to review to make sure he completed understood the problem. On the day when this project started, Mark was on-site with his team to oversee this repair was done as he had planned, this was not expected but very much appreciated. The Owner spent much time with me on some of the technical aspects of the shingling job for my home, and 3 outbuildings, due to some challenging areas. We’re very happy customers! We found Lake Orion Roofing Company to be the most competitive of the tier 1 providers of this product line for us. January 2021, mid covid, tear off and install was all done in 3 days. We have a steep and many faceted roof. The 8 man crew attacked the task vigorously. Using harnesses and lines attached to the roof for safety, they moved freely around the roof while they first stripped it then put the new material on which included replacing several sheets of plywood. Our roof has many intricate features that the artisans on the team addressed with great expertise. They even attended to the detail of ensuring the gutter screens were restored to their original condition. The entire team was involved in the cleanup after the job. Scouring for refuse in the yard including using rolling bar magnets ensured almost all was cleaned out of the yard. Some even came back weeks later, after a snow melt and did a final yard and roof review. We’ve lived with the roof for about 6mo now and remain very pleased with the result.

I had Lake Orion Roofing replace the shingles on my detached garage.This involved tearing off the old shingles.The crew was very speedy and did an excellent job of cleaning up all of the junk that ended up on the ground.I would highly recommend contacting them if you are in need of any roof repairs.

We found Mark had set the standard for walking us thru what needs to be done when installing a new roof. We recommend when evaluating roofers to go to him first, review the details for a new roof and see if other roofers match his attention to detail. A recent wind storm caused our shingles to visibly come up, I am happy we read the reviews on Google for Lake Orion Roofing as they inspected our roof & we had a lot more damage underneath than I thought. We coordinated with Mark, he and his team were excellent working through the roof insurance adjuster claims process and I was able to have my entire roof replaced just through knowing how to work with the roof insurance process! Also I was worried about my insurance rates going up because of a claim (like car insurance), however it works differently as it is based on regional damage, not my individual claim. I am very happy with Lake Orion and his team they were very professional, knowledgeable, and highly recommend!

I had an old roof and shingles that were finally more trouble to keep patching than it was to replace. Lake Orion Roofing made the process so easy, wish I'd made the decision years ago. The whole process was very well communicated about when the shingles and bin would be delivered and when it all started, didn't take long at all. They did the job and cleaned up very well. Couldn't be happier.
